{"id":1683,"date":"2020-07-25T13:57:28","date_gmt":"2020-07-25T12:57:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.ehs.com.ph\/?p=1683"},"modified":"2020-10-23T12:18:25","modified_gmt":"2020-10-23T12:18:25","slug":"pasig-river-rehabilitation-comission-leading-the-baseco-beach-clean-up-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ehs.com.ph\/?p=1683","title":{"rendered":"PASIG RIVER REHABILITATION COMISSION LEADING THE BASECO BEACH CLEAN UP 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last October 2018, the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) received International Recognition for their efforts in reviving the Pasig River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pasig River was declared biologically\ndead in the 90\u2019s.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The International River Foundation noted the\nsuccessful efforts led by the PRRC in reviving the once dead river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuing their efforts of cleaning our\nwaters, the river warriors led the BASECO Beach Clean-up last June 2019.&nbsp; This is in their efforts to save the Mangrove\nNursery at the Baseco Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 9 days, they were able to gather 30,000\nkilograms of garbage, which are mostly single-use plastics.&nbsp; The team worked even through the weekend to\nfinish the big task at hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To cap their activity, the river warriors and\ntheir partners launched a tree planting activity around the Mangrove Nursery as\nthe month of June 2019 ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"389\" height=\"388\" src=\"https:\/\/ehs.com.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/july2019.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1685\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ehs.com.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/july2019.png 389w, https:\/\/ehs.com.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/july2019-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/ehs.com.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/july2019-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 389px) 100vw, 389px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Photo courtesy&nbsp; of PRRC and MB.com<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last October 2018, the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) received International Recognition for their efforts in reviving the Pasig River.
